FAQ
What private data can a photo contain?
Commonly the GPS location, phone make and model, capture time and editing software. GPS data can reveal your home address.
Does removing it change image quality?
For JPG, PNG and WebP only the metadata blocks are deleted, with no re-compression, so quality is identical. HEIC is converted to JPG first.
Will my photos end up rotated?
No. The orientation setting is kept; only the other data is removed.
