What’s the difference between precise and fast trimming?
Precise trimming re-encodes, so start and end times are exact but it takes longer. Fast trimming doesn’t re-encode and finishes in seconds with no quality loss, but the start snaps to the nearest keyframe and may begin a second or two early.
Does trimming reduce quality?
Fast trimming doesn’t affect quality at all. Precise trimming re-encodes, with quality very close to the original.
